DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION

The deadline for submission of entries is on September 15, 2010 6PM, Philippine Local Time. Any entry submitted beyond this deadline will not be eligible for any category. Payments are non-refundable.

ENTRY GUIDELINES

To qualify, an entry must include the following:
  1. The Entry Form (or "Entry Form"),
  2. Artwork/s in the required Submission Template (or "Submission Template" found within the Entry Form) ; and
  3. Where applicable, other required documents detailed in "Section B, Eligibility, Additional Guidelines," i.e. Written consent from a professional graphic designer’s employer and/or client holding copyright over the work allowing him/her to submit the work as an entry or, proof of enrollment or a written certification issued by the academic institution certifying his/her status as a full-time student of the academic institution.
Submissions with incomplete requirements shall not be eligible for any category. Category-Specific Entry Forms and Submission Template are available for download below.

In order for a submission to qualify as an entry, all fields in the Entry Form must be filled out. A scanned copy of the deposit slip, which serves as proof of payment for the entry fee, must be pasted onto the indicated field in the Entry Form.

An artwork must be pasted digitally onto a Submission Template and should have a maximum resolution of 180 DPI per image. Required fields in the Submission Template must be filled out to qualify an entry, which include, among others, an explanation of how the entry has responded to the design objective, stated in 50 words or less. An artwork with languages other than Filipino or English must also include a brief translation of the foreign characters, words, or phrases for proper appreciation by the judges. A Submission Template with signatures or any identifying marks that disclose or suggest the identity or affiliation of the artist, such as artist or agency names, or logos representing an artist or an agency, shall be automatically disqualified and will not be eligible for any category.

An entry (including Entry Form, Submission Template, and required documents) must not exceed 10 MB. It must be submitted via email to submit@pgdawards.com in Adobe PDF formats using a CMYK color profile. Entrants must ensure that all digital files are in order prior to submission. The Organizers assume that all information provided in the Entry Form and the Submission Template have been verified prior to submission and will not be held responsible for insufficient or inaccurate data or for damaged, corrupted, or incorrectly prepared files. Forms and templates provided by the Organizers are not to be altered, resized, or used in any manner other than for the purpose of submitting an entry for the 2010 Philippine Graphic Design Awards. Any entries that do not conform to the above specifications shall be disqualified and will not be eligible for any category.

ENTRY FORM/SUBMISSION TEMPLATE GUIDELINES

Submission Templates are provided to ensure uniformity of entries during the judging process. Entrants are encouraged to maximize the space provided for work/s within the Submission Templates. Submission Templates form part of an entry and shall contain no information or identifying marks that disclose or suggest the identity or affiliation of the entrant.

CATEGORY 1. DIRECT COMMUNICATIONS (SINGLE-PIECE ENTRY) – PROFESSIONAL

Maximum of three (3) Submission Templates (or "Template/s") allowed for Category 1. Artwork pasted digitally on 1st Template; photos of direct communications piece (or depicting entry’s use in actual environment) pasted digitally on succeeding Templates.

Maximum of one (1) Template allowed for Category 6. Screenshot of title page pasted digitally on Template. Entry must also be available via an online, third-party application provider (such as YouTube) without the need to download and/or install a media player for viewing. Link to the web page also required. (Note: Ensure link is active; a dead link disqualifies an entry. Indicate username/password if required for access).
